Long time friends and musicians Sam Moon & Matt Minglewood have quite the musical history. The Cape Breton duo are no strangers on the Canadian touring circuit. They started performing together in 1969 in a band called ‘Sam Moon, Matt Minglewood & the Universal Power’. When the band disbanded they went on to form the ‘Moon Minglewood Band’ In 1973 they went their separate ways. Matt had one foot steeped in the musical roots of blues and the other knee-deep in country & rock while Sam has one foot steeped in R&B & the other in folk while both love to rock. Finally, 40 plus years later they have teamed up to present a musical reunion tour called ‘Full Moon Minglewood Rising’.

The acoustic leg of the tour will feature two friends performing their unique brand of tunes. Both are great story tellers, uplifted by their honest, passion and love of music, you will witness Canadiana at its best.

Their songs are sprinkled with an innate ability to craft music drawing on a huge spectrum of genres.
