On Saturday, May 11, comedian Patrick Ledwell will be partnering with Harmony House Theatre and Canadian Mental Health Association PEI for “Working on It,” a night of comedy about life, work, and mental wellness.

During the first half of the night, Patrick’s presentation will travel through some humourous and practical approaches to staying well in your work. For the second half, Ledwell will be joined by his performing partner, Mark Haines, and they will be debuting new material, toward this year’s edition of The Island Summer Review.

The evening is part of CMHA’s National Mental Health Week taking place May 6 – 12. Both the performance and Harmony House venue are fully donated as a fundraiser in support of CMHA PEI. All proceeds from the night will go directly toward mental health programs and services for Islanders.

The goal of the presentation is to have some shared laughter, explore perspectives on work and health, and talk about helpful practices. “The performance will be upbeat and funny,” says Ledwell. “Laughter is good at opening windows, and can be a positive force to create conversation in the room.”

Our downstairs licensed restaurant and pub will be open in advance, with a full chef-prepared menu by Chef Norman Zeledon. To reserve a table for dinner, please call us at (902) 964-2255!

Harmony House planning for your health and safety

This summer, Harmony House Theatre has worked together with the Chief Public Health Office of P.E.I. to be able to host audiences with the clearest of safety standards. Audiences will be limited to less than 50 people per night, seated and physically distanced in groups of 4 or 6 seats. Enjoy the night close to your 'bubble' of family and friends, while feeling safe and comfortable.

If you would like more guidance on our health and safety measures, and our COVID-19 Operations Plan, please leave a message with the venue: 902-964-2255

Through these challenging times, many have turned to music and laughter to lift spirits. We’re committed to putting on a show for those of our audience members who would appreciate that lift, right now.
